An introduction to Teach First: career changers & young professionals

22 October 2019 at 18:30 - 20:00 in London at the Teach First Office

Event information:

Unlock the potential in children from the most disadvantaged backgrounds – and the potential in you. Train to become a teacher and leader, get a salary from day one in the classroom, boost your career and make a difference to the pupils who need it most.

We are now open for applications to train to teach with us in summer 2020, this is the best time to apply as we have full location and subject availability, applying early also enables more time to prepare for getting into teaching both pragmatically and for subject knowledge.

This event is aimed specifically at young professionals and career changers, who would like to explore Teach First and our programme. It will enable you to find out more about the charity, the structure and benefits of our route into teaching - all in an informal manner, you'll also be able to get your questions answered by a dedicated members of the recruitment team over light refreshments.

The Teach First Training Programme offers:

  • school-based and salaried programme: earn a salary from your first day in September and throughout your training, including school holidays.
  • no fees to pay: fully-funded PGDE: unlike some other routes, you pay no fees for your training and receive a salary.
  • three points of professional support: Support from a subject expert, an in-school mentor and a Teach First mentor.

If you're unable to make the event but would like to learn more - please reach out to Sam Graham
