Bitterne Park Teaching School Alliance - School Direct information evening

10 October 2019 at 17:30 - 19:00 in Southampton at the Bitterne Park School

Event information:

The Bitterne Park Teaching School Alliance is a growing partnership comprising a diverse range of secondary schools across Hampshire and Wiltshire which present dynamic and exciting training possibilities for those wishing to pursue a career in teaching.

Our popular and well-established School Direct training programme is delivered in partnership with the Universities of Southampton and Chichester and combines the best elements of a traditional university-led PGCE training model with the benefits of a school-centred approach.

Whether you are a recent graduate or are considering a career change, our teacher training programme will equip you with the skills to teach your subject confidently and successfully, our partner universities have a long-established record of excellent initial teacher training, and successful completion of our course will lead to a postgraduate certificate in education (PGCE) with qualified teacher status (QTS), the programme also contributes towards a master's level qualification.

Come and join us for an informal evening to find out more about the various routes in to teaching, there will be a short presentation followed by the opportunity to ask questions, meet current trainees, find out more about bursaries and scholarships, and receive advice and support with your teacher training application.

Light refreshments will be available, we very much look forward to meeting you.
