An introduction to Teach First: Saturday conference call

17 November 2018 at 10:00 to 17 November 2018 at 11:30 in Conference call at the Conference call

Event info:

Among developed countries, the UK has one of the worst rates of educational inequality. We believe your background should not dictate your destiny, and that everybody should have an equal chance to succeed. Our Leadership Development Programme places talented people like you into classrooms where you are needed most to help end this injustice

This conference call is aimed specifically at recent graduates, young professionals and career changers based in the South East of England, Scotland and Ireland and will enable you to find out more about Teach First, the structure and benefits of our programme, and what makes a really strong application. You'll also be able to get your questions answered by a dedicated member of the recruitment team, so that you feel as confident as possible in submitting your online application.

The Teach First programme offers:

  • a fully-funded and salaried route into teaching, including an internationally recognised Postgraduate Diploma in Education and Leadership (PGDE), worth double the credits of a PGCE
  • classroom-based training, allowing you to take real responsibility from the outset
  • guaranteed NQT year after gaining QTS at the end of your first year
  • unparalleled career support during and after the programme, which enables our participants to progress quickly in school leadership, education policy, social enterprise and other fields

We are currently recruiting early years, primary and secondary school teachers across England and Wales.
