Event info:

A chance to find out about applying for the second edition of our pioneering Philosophy and Practice of Integrative Education Postgraduate Course.

This postgraduate certificate programme is for upper school (secondary school) teachers who would like to develop an integrative teaching practice to meet the changing needs of young people today. The programme offers students an overview of contemporary approaches to teaching, learning and assessment. It also covers collaborative and action research methods to develop new ways of working within a school or teaching faculty. The programme also explores Steiner-based educational principles and the philosophical and developmental picture of the human being that informs them. It also prepares teachers to work with the international ACTS (Acknowledging Creative Thinking Skills) approach to 14 to 19 education, a unique creativity and creative thinking skills framework, developed by a trans-european partnership of schools and field experts.

The course is undertaken alongside Finnish and Danish teachers creating unique dynamism, and is delivered by a blend of intensive residentials (with one based in Helsinki!) and online learning. It runs over 18 months and is modular.

The event will be hosted by Crossfields Institute faculty staff as well as some special guests from our 2018 (and first ever!) intake to talk through their experiences of the course so far.
