Chimney House Alliance – open evening

15 March 2016 at 16:15 to 15 March 2016 at 18:00 in Holmes Chapel at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School

Event info:

Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School is an ambitious national teaching school in Cheshire East. We are the lead school in the Chimney House Alliance, offering graduates both primary and secondary routes into teaching through our well established School Direct programme, and the recently formed Cheshire East SCITT.

Both routes are school-based and full-time. At the end of the programme trainees are awarded QTS with a PGCE and 60 Master’s credits, which is accredited by Manchester Metropolitan University. We hold several information evenings where you are invited to come along to talk to staff and current trainees to find out about how to get into teaching, what is involved in our initial teacher training courses, and take part in a taster lesson.

Our staff are our most valuable resource and, in addition to our national reputation for ITT, we are also known for our highly successful collaboration in the field of continued professional development (CPD), and are passionate about life long learning. The programme includes courses for NQTs, RQTs, aspiring middle leaders, and senior leadership. Our teachers are excellent practitioners and are eager to share their skills, knowledge and practice to train the next generation of outstanding teachers and future leaders.

Applications for both the School Direct and Cheshire East SCITT are made through the UCAS website, where you can find lots of online help and support.
