Event information

Members of the SCITT (School Centred Initial Teacher Training) Team will cover the following: Who we are? What do you need in order to apply? Course details. Why train with us? Offer great advice and answer your questions.

Our Initial Teacher Training courses are carefully crafted to give you the best of in-school experience alongside theory, pedagogy and subject knowledge training at one of our training hubs. We offer full and part-time courses, which result in Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the option to gain a Master's Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).

We are passionate about education and our team is led by current school teachers and leaders. We were formally accredited as an ITT provider by the DfE in 2013. In May 2023 we were again graded Outstanding in all areas of our provision in our second Ofsted inspection. OTT SCITT's central offices are based at The Cherwell School in Oxford, and this is where the majority of our Central Team is based for much of the week, but we operate our courses from a number of Hub locations around Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and Berkshire. Applicants to our courses can choose the Hub (study site) which is closest to them, this means that you can access the Central and Subject Curriculum sessions in a location near to you and enjoy training locally, with a combination of in-person, online and in-school training.

We look forward to meeting you at one of our Information Events soon you can sign up on our website's event page.
