Sacred Heart High School - London train to teach recruitment fair

1 October 2019 at 17:00 - 20:00 in London at the Sacred Heart High School

Event information:

This popular annual event is aimed at anyone considering training to be a teacher in London. Applications for teacher training places on courses starting in September 2020 are expected to open on UCAS in mid October 2019.

Ahead of UCAS opening, this event will give you an opportunity to meet a range of different training providers who operate across north, west and south London including Teaching School Alliances and their partner universities.

Each provider will have a stall and you can learn about their vacancies and the schools that you could train in:

  • West London Teaching School Alliance (TSA)
  • Royal Borough TSA
  • Ealing TSA
  • Ealing Primary TSA
  • Kingston TSA
  • New River TSA (Alexandra Park)
  • Pimlico London SCITT
  • Teach Wimbledon
  • St Mary's University, Twickenham
  • Roehampton University

There will be a presentation (and opportunity to ask questions) at 5.10pm for approx. 45 minutes) and this will then be repeated at 6.20pm. The presentation will explain the significance of different teacher training qualifications and different types of teacher training providers and courses. You will also learn about the funding you could receive on both salaried and unsalaried programmes; entry requirements (including what to do if you have overseas qualifications); and how the UCAS application system works. Top tips will be provided on how to secure a place.
