24 September 2019 at 12:30 - 16:30 in Leeds at the Laynes Espresso

Event information:

Are you based around Leeds and looking to switch into teaching from your current role?

Are you interested in teaching the following subjects at secondary level: English, maths, science, modern foreign languages, history, geography...?

At Teach First, we are working to build a fair education for all, to do that, we need committed people to make this switch into teaching, we'll help you develop into an inspiring teacher and provide support every step of the way so that you can make an impact where you're needed most.

Our Training Programme is the largest teacher training and leadership programme in the country, and it comes with a whole host of benefits:

  • earn a salary from your first day in the classroom
  • gain a fully-funded postgraduate diploma in education and leadership (PGDE), this is worth double the credits of a standard PGCE and amounts to two-thirds of a master's degree.
  • receive outstanding support throughout. 99% of our trainees gain an 'outstanding' or 'good grade in their training year.
  • take advantage of a range of development opportunities, both during and after the programme through our Teach First network.
  • work in schools where you can make the biggest difference to your students' lives.

Come along to a 1-2-1 coffee appointment with Laura from Teach First to help you to find out more about Teach First, the training and benefits of our route into teaching.
