"As a multi-academy trust we want to be known for placing students first: raising standards and transforming lives."
Martyn Oliver, CEO, Outwood Grange Academies Trust
The Outwood Institute of Education offers a School Direct programme that strives to develop, support and celebrate excellent trainee teachers who are well-prepared for the profession. We are part of a large alliance of over 80 schools; these partnerships enable us to provide training that is high quality, purposeful and based on first-hand experiences.
Our trainee teachers work alongside innovative, ambitious and student-focused teachers who are passionate about raising standards and transforming lives.
We are partnered with Sheffield Hallam University, Durham University and Leeds Beckett University. We aim to deliver excellent teacher training across the Tees Valley and Yorkshire and the Humber. All of our courses result in a PGCE with QTS.
