Teach First - phone appointments

28 February 2019 at 16:00 to 28 February 2019 at 18:00 in Birmingham at the Via Phone

Event info:

Among developed countries, the UK has one of the worst rates of educational inequality. We believe your background should not dictate your destiny, and that everybody should have an equal chance to succeed. Our Leadership Development Programme places talented and committed people into classrooms where they are needed the most to help end this injustice.

Almost a third of the individuals who joined our programme in 2018 came from other careers. We believe their wider experience of life and work makes a vital contribution to our drive to end educational inequality, create greater inclusion in education, and raise standards in the classroom.

Have a call with a member of the Teach First team to learn more about our programme, get your questions answered, and find out if it's the right route for you to take.

The Leadership Development Programme offers:

  • salaried from September 2019
  • a fully-funded and salaried route into teaching, including an internationally recognised Postgraduate Diploma in Education and Leadership (PGDE), worth double the credits of a PGCE
  • classroom based training leading to your Qualified Teacher Status
  • three dedicated support links – professional mentor (school), academic tutor (university) & one-to-one coaching (Teach First)
