Teach First - information and advice event

20 February 2019 at 18:45 to 20 February 2019 at 19:45 in Bristol at the Watershed

Event info:

62% of students who are eligible for free school meals fail to achieve a C grade or above at GCSE Science. More than half of our schools across England experience significant shortages of specialist maths and science teachers. It's time to take action..

The Teach First Leadership Development Programme is an amazing opportunity to build a successful career in the classroom or beyond. You'll earn a full salary whilst you train, work towards a free PGDE qualification, and benefit from Ofsted-rated 'Outstanding' training and support, all whilst helping to end educational inequality.

This event is an opportunity to hear from one of our former teachers about life on the programme, including the key benefits, how it works, and hints and tips for your application. You'll also be able to get your questions answered by members of the team. Light refreshments provided.

Please note that although we do have a full range of subjects available nationwide, in the south west region we currently only have places for those wishing to teach Maths, Science, and Modern Foreign Languages.

Do something amazing today. Sign up to our event to learn more about the challenges in maths, science and languages departments. We're sure the stats will compel you to use your skills where they are needed most.
