Saint Patrick's RC High School get into teaching information event
20 October 2017 at 09:30 - 11:30 in Salford at the Saint Patrick's RC High School
An ideal opportunity for anyone who is thinking of applying to train to teach this year, suitable for both primary and secondary stages. If you are a graduate, someone considering a change of career or if you are thinking of applying to teach this year this event is for you.
St Patrick's is a National Teaching School and we are committed to supporting people who are thinking of entering the teaching profession. As an outstanding school we look forward to supporting you in your journey to teach.
We have years of Initial Teacher Training experience; working with a range of University Teacher Training courses, SCITTs and our own successful School Direct Initial Teacher Training course.
Our experience of Initial Teacher Training will enable us to pass on advice to you about all of the routes into teaching and in this 90 min workshop you will get the chance to reflect on:
- what are the different routes into teaching?
- what qualifications do I need?
- how do I apply?
- funding and bursaries.
- what should I put on a personal statement?
- what happens at an ITT interview day?
All Initial Teacher Training Courses, including our own School Direct primary and secondary courses, open on the 26th October. This workshop will be hosted at Saint Patrick's RC High School, Eccles, M30 7JJ so appropriate attire should be worn- smart / casual.
