The University of Manchester is holding an open evening for anyone thinking about a career in teaching. Come along to find out about our PGCEs (Postgraduate Certificates in Education) – ten-month courses that enable graduates to train to teach and gain qualified teacher status (QTS).

Presentations on our primary and secondary PGCE courses will provide you with an overview of our offering. You will also be able to speak to course tutors for our primary PGCEs and subject specialists for our secondary PGCEs, including:

  • English
  • mathematics
  • science (chemistry, biology, physics and physics with mathematics)
  • modern languages (French, German and Spanish)
  • business education
  • economics with business education
  • School Direct

Our admissions staff will be on hand to answer your questions on the application process, including the scholarships and bursaries available.
