Queen Mary’s University – open day

4 May 2016 at 10:00 to 4 May 2016 at 17:00 in London at the Queen Mary University Library

Event info:

This event is part of the ‘Talk about Teaching’ campaign organised by Premier Pathways, a new initial teacher training scheme that offers graduates a paid route into teaching.

As part of a wider effort to boost the national profile of teaching as a profession, this summer we are launching our own bespoke campaign – ‘Talk about Teaching’. The ‘Talk about Teaching’ campaign involves representatives from Premier Pathways setting up a stand in an area of high student footfall for a day, and providing information to interested students about teaching as a career and the Premier Pathways scheme itself. We also run teaching personality quizzes and bring free giveaways for participants. Our objective is not to spend the day exclusively promoting Premier Pathways as a brand, but instead to inspire people to join the teaching profession any way they can.

This event is not exclusively targeted at students. Though Premier Pathways does require a degree as part of the entry criteria, we are very eager to talk to and help anyone who has ever considered a career within education. If you are looking for a paid route into education, or are just interested in finding out about all the available options, this event will help you discover what you can do to get into teaching.
