Manchester Metropolitan University – postgraduate courses fair

24 February 2016 at 14:00 to 24 February 2016 at 18:00 in Manchester at the Manchester Metropolitan University Business School

Event info:

This event is aimed at those who are interested in applying for our PGCE primary education or one of our PGCE secondary education specialisms (over 20 available, including national shortage subjects such as mathematics, physics with mathematics, science, computing with ICT, design and technology, and modern foreign languages – French, German and Spanish).

We are currently recruiting for September 2016 start but also welcome interest from those considering applying for September 2017, or just wanting to find out more about teaching as a career – particularly those with industry experience. Applicants have the choice of our university-led (‘Core’) and School Direct routes to a PGCE, both of which include qualified teacher status and 60 Master’s-level credits.

There will be the opportunity to attend one of our PGCE talks and speak to some of our academic and admissions staff for advice on aspects such as entry requirements, how to apply and the course structure. Representatives will also be available from some of our partner schools for advice on the school direct PGCE routes available.

Other stands will include finance, student support and accommodation. Taught sessions for our PGCE courses are based at our recently opened new Brooks Building, approximately 10 minutes’ walk from the event venue. We will be running short tours, led by education students, which provide the opportunity to look at some of our specialist teaching facilities.
