English and Media Centre open evening – School Direct/PGCE

25 January 2016 at 17:30 to 25 January 2016 at 19:00 in London at the English and Media Centre

Event info:

The English and Media Centre is an award-winning not-for-profit company with 40 years of experience working with English and Media teachers.

Renowned for the quality of our publishing, CPD and consultancy, since September 2015 we have been providing the subject content for two innovative teacher training courses. One is a secondary English PGCE School Direct programme, run in conjunction with London Metropolitan University and its partnership schools; the other is a secondary media studies PGCE, developed in partnership with Goldsmiths College, University of London.

Our PGCE courses combine practical experience with academic rigour, making them the ideal entry point into teaching for ambitious, motivated candidates. The majority of training takes place in schools, while intensive off-site training is held at both our Islington training centre and in our partner universities.

To find out more, come along to our information evening on 25 January 2016. Informal conversations will begin at 5.30pm, with a short presentation at 6.15pm.
