Teacher Training Advisers

Our Teacher Training Adviser service is a free programme that provides you with additional support when preparing and applying for teacher training. You’ll get your own dedicated adviser, an experienced teacher, who knows the teacher training process inside out, who is on hand to give you any extra help you need.

Your Teacher Training Adviser will:

  • give you practical advice and guidance at each stage of your application, from writing your personal statement to preparing for interviews and skills tests
  • help you arrange your school experience via our School Experience Programme
  • provide information about any financial support you may be entitled to

Whatever support you need, your adviser will be just a phone call, text or email away.

Find out how recent trainees benefited from using our personalised adviser service.

To be eligible for the service, you’ll need to hold (or be predicted) a 2:2 degree or above and want to start training in September 2019.

Please note: All subjects (except PE) qualify for support for the Teacher Training Adviser service. If you’re a PE candidate, there’s plenty of support from our expert agents via Freephone 0800 389 2500 or our online chat service.

Overseas candidates who qualify for this personalised service aren’t automatically guaranteed to receive a bursary or scholarship. You can contact your chosen training provider(s) for bursary or scholarship eligibility or Student Finance England.

2020 candidates

There’s also support available if you want to start teacher training in 2020, with our early engagement team. If you’re a second-year undergraduate or looking to change career, call us on Freephone 0800 389 2500 or register online to find out how we can help you.
