Online event for UK nationals teaching overseas and are considering returning to teaching in England.

Event information

Our children and young people need your international skills, experience and perspective.
If you’re thinking about coming home to teach, the Department for Education (DfE) want to help.
This interactive online event will cover:
  • practical tips from organisations like COBIS and ESP that support the global flow of teachers as you consider your next steps
  • a chance to hear from organisations that have recruited teachers who’ve wanted to make the move back home and an opportunity to get your questions answered
  • dedicated time for you to explore with your peers what the main motivations are when considering a return to teach in England and also to explore and overcome any barriers to making that happen
  • learn about the extra support available for priority subjects (maths, physics and modern languages) and new features of the Teaching Vacancies service
  • explore the new dedicated webpage for international returners and get access to the information and guidance available
This event also provides a great opportunity to network, ask questions and shape future online sessions run by DfE.

The event will be hosted on MS Teams and a link to the event will be sent to you prior to the event. Please register on Eventbrite.
